We are looking for five entrepreneurs from different industries who are working on innovative solutions to combat covid-19 within the mining industry.
To boost their growth through strategic tools such as: Workshops, Need Assessment, support for capital raising, 1 to 1 mentoring, among others.
Three companies will be chosen to participate in the Endeavor Peru Tour, and one company will be part of the Endeavor Mexico Tour.
Launch of an open innovation program to support entrepreneurs with ideas that can reduce or stop COVID-19 spread within the mining industry.
Context
Like many sectors, the mining industry is facing the challenge of COVID-19, which can
affect workers and their families.
To encourage solutions across the industry, global mining and metals group Rio Tinto is
partnering with Endeavor, one of the world's biggest entrepreneur support networks, to
launch an open innovation program. The initiative will support entrepreneurs in Chile
who are developing and introducing technological innovations to help prevent or stop the spread of COVID-19.
Program
The program specifically looks to promote a group of five entrepreneurs through a
variety of strategic tools including workshops, need assessments, capital increasing
support, and one-on-one advising sessions. Moreover, three projects will be chosen to
participate in tours to Peru and Mexico to promote these solutions abroad.
